I started with Dan March 2007. I was out of shape and overweight. I was recovering from a divorce and I needed to find something to do to get my health back in order - both mentally and physically. I was nervous to work with a personal trainer, but I knew I needed a kick in the rear to get me started on my journey to healthier, happier and stronger me. The journey was not easy. I had lots of poor habits to change. I still have growing to do. It is a never ending road to being a better me.
I am a single mom of two great kids. It took me a long time to realize that taking the time to take care of me was not only a treat for me, but it was and is the best gift I could give my children. Working out, changing eating habits to healthier ones, and running are things that are part of my life. By bringing these activities into my every day life, I lost weight, increased my energy level and really boosted my self image. With these positive changes, I am able to be a better and stronger parent, friend and person. It has been a hard, but enjoyable journey. Yes, I used the word enjoyable. The workouts are hard, but the overall results are amazing. I truly enjoy seeing the achievements I have accomplished and enjoy sharing the knowledge I Have received with my children.  Thanks to Dan and PEAK Fitness I can call myself a runner. Never did I think that was  possible, but now I run 5Ks. Huge change for a single mom who was out of shape, mentally beat and low self esteem.

Training with PEAK Fitness over and senior training, Dan Edwards, not only gave me the confidence to pursue life goals but also shown me that I am able to push myself farther than I ever could have imagined. Things thought impossible are now within easy reach with hard work and dedication I learned while training and working with Dan.

I have known Dan for quite a few years now. He has come through for me in that he is caring, very intersted in my health and well being. He is all about "health! and the science of it. I can truly recommend him without reserve.Lori
I can't say enough great things about Dan. I can honestly say that Dan has changed my life in so many ways. His caring, compassion, loyalty, encouragement and his expertise and knowledge about life, health, fitness and mind/body/spirit has been wonderful for me.
I have more patience with my family and myself. To date, I'm down 80lbs, and credit Dan for everything positive that's occurred with my successes. Since starting with Dan I have competed in multiple 5k races, 3 half marathons, 6 triathlons, 4 mud runs and have now signed up for my first Marathon. I recommend PEAK Fitness to anyone looking for a life and body change.

In 2007 I weight over 300 pounds. I was always fatigued, depressed and felt very out of shape. In meeting with P.E.A.K. Fitness owner Dan Edwards I realized that I needed to make a change for myself to become the person I always wanted to be. After a few sessions with Dan it wasn’t always easy but with his constant encouragement I knew it would get easier. 5 years later and over 100 pounds thinner Dan not only helped me reach my fitness goals but surpassed them in every way.Sam
My fitness story began in 2009 when I came to a point in my life that I weighed upwards of 350 lbs and there was something in me that pushed me that I had to make a change.  Dan Edwards of P.E.A.K. Fitness was there at the start, and he’s still there to give me a challenging workout.  He will always find new and interesting ways to challenge.
My relationship with Dan has also grown into a friendship, and I believe that I’m at a point where I can also give the trainer a challenging workout on the bicycle.
In the time that I started working out with Dan, I’ve ran several half marathons, a full marathon, several duathlons, and a cycling time trial.
I now weigh 250 lbs and am training for my first Ironman Triathlon in September 2012.  While I may be a ‘normal’ case, Dan will customize a workout to be challenging and beneficial.  In Dan’s group classes, he will customize the workout to the level of each person in class.

My P.E.A.K. Fitness Journey started when I was looking for a way to move faster with my agility dog FlyR.  I heard about an agility-related exercise program and decided to check it out.  Originally I went to the group classes with Dan of P.E.A.K Fitness.  I really enjoyed the group but realized that I wanted more personalized attention.

After talking to Dan, I decided to start meeting with him privately so we could formulate an individual plan.  I realized I not only wanted to run faster with my dog, but also wanted to get into shape and lose some weight.  In the private sessions with Dan, he became not only my trainer but also a life coach, actually helping talk through some life issue while working out.  Dan provides a great balance of exercise and mental stimulation.

Dan is awesome at encouraging me to set goals and work outside of my comfort zone.  With his help I was able to get into shape.  This allowed me to run FlyR in a more competitive manner, which led to the achievement of a couple of my goals.  FlyR and I finished 7th place in the Steeplechase finals at the 2011 Cynosport USDAA Nationals event.  What a rush!

I also achieved my goals of running a 5K road race and losing 25 lbs.  With Dan’s continued help I have maintained that weight loss for 6 months now.  I look forward to setting some new goals and continuing the process.

Being a woman and at 54 renewing my journey toward fitness needed some help and an extra push. I’ve always tried to be aware of my weight and my appearance but life became so busy I forgot about myself and gained about 50 unwanted pounds. I have back pain issues and the extra weight didn’t help my cause.  On my 50 Birthday my son started me on a fitness journey to help me get fit and think about what I ate. He bought me a fitness ball, weights and resistance bands. I love you too son!!!!  I started walking and working out with the equipment he bought me.  In the first year I lost over 30 pounds and I continued to lose the rest of the weight I gained.  I walked through rain, snow and beautiful sunshine.  I worked out in my basement about 3 days a week and after a few short years I finally lost those 50 pounds!  My diet changed and I ate healthier.

Well after 3 years, my job consumed my time again and I slowly started gaining weight back and my core strength was suffering again causing back pain to return.  Stress can cause you to not eat right (craving sugar) and woman over 50 begin to get that dreaded “round” middle.  I had to do something to give me that push, that drive back to continue the journey I started.  I call it a journey because it never ends……!  I needed help to get back on track and to feel good again!

Enter Dan……I heard about Dan through a friend and saw his results and I thought this is what I need to get me started again.  I made the phone call to P.E.A.K. fitness and met with Dan to discuss and begin another journey.  Dan really made the effort to know me and my body and its limits and potential.  He instructs and encourages me weekly.  He works me out and teaches me new exercises and challenges me to push myself to greatness!!  We discuss eating healthy and I receive articles about how to organize my food life into eating healthy again.

Today I’m getting back on track and it’s not easy.  I have purchased several exercise “helpers” to fully get the benefits from my workouts away from Dan.  Having a person who is positive and continues to help me sure keeps me going!

My journey is still progressing.  Do not give up and don’t give in.  If I get off track, I immediately get back on board!!!  I’ve lost inches and pounds but most importantly my core strength is returning, my energy level is returning and working out feels so good and stays with you all day!  I work out differently then before.  Dan has given me time sensitive workouts so I can take 10 to 20 minutes to complete a powerhouse workout.  Don’t look at working out as taking time away from you but giving you quality time back in your life!
Enjoy the journey you can begin and it’s never….never to late to begin!  Your life is worth it and you will feel so good!  Thanks Dan… P.E.A.K. Fitness rocks!!!!!

In June of ‘08 I was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury (Transverse Myelitis). Dan supported and encouraged me that I could attain my "competition" goal of competing in Dog Agility trials vs. just meeting functional goals. 4 years later with Dan's help I entered my first agility trial. It's been a long road and continues to be so but Dan has been there at my side not only believing in me but instrumental in helping me achieve my goals with his training, knowledge and expertise. He's helping me make my dreams come true.
