Linda  It's only been about nine months since I started working with you, and there have been some amazing changes: First and foremost I have to stress this is an hour of FUN!  The time flies; I'm usually sweating and have exerted hard enough to need a moment to catch my breath!  It's a real workout, but it's a blast!  I think my four-legged work-out companion, Ruger, loves it as much as I do!  In regards to accomplishments.  I think I can see impressive changes in three  areas:  I.  Teamwork  Ruger is focused on me more closely.  You mentioned this would happen, and I doubted it would work.  But it has been amazing how focused he is while driving and pushing forward. When I'm moving every which way, he's trying even harder to stay with me.  II. Flexibility  We both have greater range-of-motion, flexibility, agility, balance and coordination.  Ruger came into the program with stiffness, poor muscle tone on one hip, and lacked grace, and light-footedness.  He easily gave up if the course was twisty, or had tight turns and traps.  While we have gained flexibility in motion, you have been flexible with me and worked on separate routines for different dogs of mine!  You recognize the added  incentive the dog brings to my lifestyle and this helped me stick with the program!   III. Programmed for ME!  Finally!  I have an exercise program focused on ME.  It emphasizes what I like to do, and incorporates one of the most enjoyable hobbies I have - Agility with my dogs.  You help with diet - I like a mediterranean-type diet plan, and you have a dietician on-board to help focus me with that preference.  I don't like lifting weights, so you designed a method that incorporated bulldog balancing to help me stick with it.  I wanted ankle and knee  strength to avoid joint injury performing agility, and you developed focus on those areas, offered warm-ups and strength-training tips to achieve that goal.  This truly is all about what I wanted most!  I have retired one of my agility stars, and I have a new puppy to introduce to agility.  I wouldn't think of proceeding without you as our coach!

Maureen When I first started working with P.E.A.K. Fitness and Dan, I was in an exercise and diet rut.  I had always exercised and was constantly dieting, but not efficiently.  I would gain and loose the same 10 pounds over and over, never breaking the cycle, never getting past the 10 pounds.  This lead to emotional frustration and eventually more weight gain.  When I met Dan I thought this could be exactly what I needed.  Someone to hold me accountable for my exercise and diet.  I never really liked the word diet.  Being vegetarian for over 25 years and newly becoming a vegan, “diet” just never sounded right, it was more of a life choice.  Dan was supportive of my eating habits and adapted suggestions for better choices for me while never being judgmental. I learned to really keep track of my eating by writing everything on a food log and eventually logging in my own personal journal.  By doing this I could see what choices I was making and how to better them which increased fat burn and more energy.  Combining the food logs and the exercises that Dan would have us do, lead to weight loss and more energy.  The weekly meetings hold me accountable for my actions throughout the week.  Since I was always continuing to exercise, the training sessions were just what I needed to keep me motivated. Dan also gives ideas and suggestions on how to improve your current workouts,  I am now running 4 miles instead of my 5K or 2 miles throughout the week.  I feel faster and stronger and ran my first 5K in December. In addition to Yoga  (which I have always done) I am doing Barre classes at Barre Bee Fit twice a week and also added a Ballet class, which I haven't taken in many years!I realize that a healthy life is a constant work in progress and after working with Dan it doesn't seem so overwhelming.  I feel like I have the tools to continue my weight loss goals and I have the confidence to try new workouts.  I am very thankful for Dan and that I started working with P. E. A. K. fitness. Nadia Dan has truly changed my life. When I first started with P.E.A.K. Fitness, I wasn’t exercising regularly. Most of my “exercise” came from overworking myself at my job, which also lead to my unhealthy eating - mostly snacking on unhealthy items. Dan encouraged me to keep track of what I was eating, which made me become aware of my eating habits and improve my diet. He also customized an exercise routine to meet my needs and fit my schedule. He encouraged me to take time to exercise regularly, and made it more enjoyable. This has helped boost my energy and lower my stress level. I have dropped the few pounds I have been struggling to lose for as long as I can remember. Not only has Dan raised my confidence, but his encouragement has been the friendly push I have needed to add exercise into my daily routine. Because of this, I am now constantly more positive and in a better mood. I would definitely and highly recommend Dan to anyone. He is a great, kind trainer, motivator, and friend.Cathy  Thought of you today, as I was standing on one leg while I brushed my teeth, and lifting hand weights in my car on the way to the grocery store.  I want you to know that although it's been a year since you've been north to work with us "older" ladies, you have definitely made a big change in at least my life. I have also noticed at the few agility trials that I have been able to attend this last year, you are making a mark in Michigan. Lots of people are warming up in the way you taught us.  This year I faced a few injuries...namely left foot and right knee, and one of my elbows, so finding exercises that I could do is fairly challenging, but the Nordic Track is working so far, and some light weights. Diet is still on track at small meals 3-4 times a day, and I have successfully jettisoned soda, "mostly" and have cut WAY back on sugar. Kinda working at a diabetic type diet, as my brother just found out he has diabetes, so I'm going that route, to be on the safe side. I am currently getting back into some light walking. We'll see how the foot holds up. Weight was holding, as least until the Holidays.  Anyway, just thought you'd like to know that you can count me as one of your success stories.

Abdullah  I have known Dan for quite a few years now. He has come through for me in that he is caring, very interested in my health and well being. He is all about "Health!" and the science of it! I can truly recommend him without reserve!

Ned  There are very few people that can lose 40 lbs. and keep most of it off, yet with Dan's help that is exactly what I have done. The key is coaching. Not yelling at you to push harder, but real coaching. Knowing your goals, your personality, keeping you accountable and motivated. If you are at a place in your life where you want results,  you want P.E.A.K. Otherwise keep failing - when you're ready, Dan will be there.
